Delete your account

Two ways, both permanent.

If you still have the app

Open Profile → Delete my account and confirm. Deletion happens immediately; there is no waiting period and no support ticket.

If you have already uninstalled

Email cooked@hopefamilyarchive.com from the address on your account, or tell us the username you signed up with so we can find it. We will confirm it is you, delete the account, and reply to say it is done.

What gets deleted

Your profile — username, display name, avatar, bio, date of birth.
Every recipe you created, with its ingredients and steps.
Your cook history.
Your stories and any reactions you left.
Your friendships, friend requests, and blocks.
Your sign-in credentials.

What does not get deleted

If a friend saved one of your recipes into their own library before you left, their copy stays with them. It is their recipe now, and the link back to your original is removed.

If someone reported a piece of your content, a copy of that specific item may be kept in a moderation record so the report can still be reviewed. Nothing else is retained.

This cannot be undone

There is no restore. If you want your recipes, save them somewhere else before deleting.
